Measles Vaccination for Domestic Helpers: Best Home’s Solutions for Families with Young Children
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) recently announced that starting from 1 September 2025, all domestic helpers working in households with children aged 7 and below who are not vaccinated against measles must themselves be immunised against measles.
Employers are responsible for the immunisation of their respective domestic helpers.
This new policy will apply to both new arrivals and existing helpers renewing their work permits.
While this directive is not yet in effect, we understand that many employers—especially those with newborns or young children—are already seeking clarity and solutions.
Here is Channel News Asia's article on this matter:
To support our customers, Best Home Employment Agency has prepared five practical and affordable solutions, depending on your needs and timeline:
Solution 1: From Now Till 1st September - For Employers with Existing Helpers
If you already have a helper working in your household and wish for her to be vaccinated before the policy takes effect, Best Home can coordinate the full vaccination schedule on your behalf, subject to our partner clinic's availability.
The MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine consists of two injections, taken 28 days apart.
Pricing:
One dose: $195(Includes 1 jab + 2-way transport + admin fee)
Two doses: $360(Includes 2 jabs + 2 x 2-way transport + admin fee)
Solution 2: For New Helpers Arriving Before 1 September - 1st Vaccination Before Handover
If your new helper is arriving before 1 September and you are concerned about measles, Best Home can arrange for the first dose of the vaccine to be administered at one of our partner clinics before handover.
Price: $55(Covers first injection only. Employer can arrange for the second dose 28 days later.)
Solution 3: For New Helpers Arriving Before 1 September - Employers Wish to Arrange Vaccinations on Their Own
If you prefer to arrange the vaccinations independently, we strongly encourage you to confirm your helper as early as possible so that she can enter Singapore before 1 September. Once she is in your care, you may bring her to any clinic of your choice for the MMR vaccination.
Solution 4: For New Helpers Arriving On Or After 1 September - For Employers Who Want Helpers Vaccinated Before Arrival
If you prefer your new helper to be fully vaccinated before arriving in Singapore, we can work with our overseas partners to arrange both vaccine doses before departure. Upon arrival, the helper will undergo a serology test at a local clinic to confirm immunity.
Estimated additional cost: From $600(Fees are subject to change depending on country-specific vaccination costs and logistics. Our team will provide transparent pricing in every case.)
Solution 5: From 1 September Onwards – Discounted Vaccination for Best Home Insured Helpers
From 1 September 2025, all Best Home-insured helpers (Plan 2 and above) working in households with young children aged 7 and below will be eligible for MMR vaccinations at a special discounted rate through our local partner clinics.
We will announce further details closer to the implementation date.
Important Factors To Note:

All solutions provided are based on the best information currently available. As relevant authorities has yet to release detailed operational guidelines.
To ensure fairness and clarity:
All solutions and pricings agreed at any given time are non-refundable, even if MOM updates its policy or makes future clarifications.
We will update and adjust our procedures accordingly once further information is released by the authorities.
